Medieval Feast!

We feasted like kings and queens, lords and ladies as we learned from each other about life in the middle ages.

The monks led us in prayer.

Lady Grace told us a little about herself.

The minstrels kept us entertained with their musical talents.

The falconers showed off their bird handling skills.

King Joe knighted worthy men.

The jester put on a show for us!

The archers showed off their bows.

Doctor Stella made sure to protect herself against the plague.

Independent Reading

We make a point to set aside time to read books independently. This encourages students to find stories that interest them, and fosters strong reading habits early! Plus, we simply love this time to read!

Roman Research Papers

We used both books and technology to explore topic ideas today in English, allowing students to use all sources available to them!

Here, a group scans reference books and textbooks to explore Roman theatre, government, and more!

Emilie, Joe, and Colin use the iPads to watch videos from the History Channel to learn about the destruction of Pompeii, aqueducts, and more!
